About The Position

This is a full-time position in the Pre-Post/ and PACU department working 8 hour shifts and 36 hours weekly. While this position is primarily day shift, schedules are dictated by the surgery schedule and needs of the department. The position reports to the Director of Surgical Services. Call rotation could occur, and the applicant must be within 45 minutes of the facility at all times while on call.

Requirements

• Currently licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
• Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.
• Pre-Post, PACU, and Infusion experience required.
• 2-year Medical-Surgical experience in an acute care facility required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) required
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire required
• Infusion Therapy required
• ONS chemotherapy immunotherapy certification required
• Maintain competency in all areas of the pre/post department.
• Other specialty training as assigned.
• ACLS required.
• PALS required.

Nice To Haves

• PICC line placement experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow all regulatory, quality, and safety standards including infection control and aseptic technique
• Administer medications safely and accurately
• Perform and document thorough assessments and reassessments
• Assisting with patient lifting and transport
• Exposure to patient elements and body fluids
• Ability to manage stressful and emergency situations
• Maintain chemotherapy administration certification
• Comply with all safety policies, occurrence reporting, and risk-reduction activities
• All other duties as assigned.
