This is a full-time position, 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts with rotating start times (6:00am, 8:00am, and 9:00am), weekend and holiday requirements. The Prentice Women's Hospital SDS/PACU is a multifaceted unit that provides world-class care to patients undergoing gynecological, plastics, and breast surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Our nurses provide care to some of the most complex gynecological, plastics, and breast patients in the State of Illinois. Prentice SDS/PACU allows nurses to advance their skillset by combining cutting-edge technology and critical thinking skills to provide evidence-based comprehensive nursing care to our highly complex patient population. Specialty surgeries include: Gynecological Breast Plastics Robotic In addition, the unit offers an environment that supports teamwork and collaboration from all members of the interdisciplinary team. On the Prentice SDS/PACU, nurses have the opportunity to get involved through departmental quality committees and contribute to advancements in our evidence-based nursing care by participating in our LEAD (Lead, Excel and Develop) program.
