About The Position

The Pre-Planning Advisor (PPA) is a part-time role focused on selling pre-need arrangements and services while providing compassionate support to families. This position requires self-motivation and the ability to achieve sales targets through networking, relationship building, and follow-up with client families. The PPA works both from home and in the field, engaging with families and the community to foster strong service relationships and generate referrals.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of college or equivalent experience.
  • Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Funeral Directors License where required by state/province.
  • Sales experience or 1-2 years of industry experience or equivalent education.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is a plus.
  • Basic computer and technology skills in a sales environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • Ability to work beyond standard hours as needed.
  • Good driving record and work ethic.
  • High level of integrity and creativity.
  • Outgoing and energetic personality.
  • Comfortable presenting in front of others.
  • Desire to help others.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Bilingual, knowledge of another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Generate leads by networking and building relationships for referrals.
  • Prospect a minimum of 4 hours daily through various outreach methods.
  • Obtain referrals from families served by following up after services.
  • Network and build community and civic relationships.
  • Present Dignity Memorial® Personal Planning Guide to families.
  • Track activity levels to ensure productivity and flexibility in scheduling.
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with families.
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support families during times of grief with acts of kindness.
  • Develop an understanding of each family's unique needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Stay in touch with families to ensure satisfaction and build trust for future referrals.
  • Collaborate with funeral directors and staff to provide seamless service.
  • Review previous services to prepare for current needs and sales opportunities.
