Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of pre-owned/used car management experience
  • Proven record of achieving sales, gross, and inventory turn targets
  • Strong knowledge of used vehicle sourcing, appraisal, and market trends
  • Experience with inventory management and pricing tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • CDJR dealership experience is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the pre-owned vehicle department, including inventory acquisition, pricing, merchandising, and reconditioning
  • Source vehicles through auctions, trades, direct purchases, and manufacturer channels
  • Analyze market data to ensure competitive pricing and optimal inventory mix
  • Work closely with Sales, F&I, and Service departments to maximize profitability and efficiency
  • Monitor and improve key performance metrics (turn rate, days supply, front/back gross, recon costs)
  • Train, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve departmental goals
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and dealership policies
  • Maintain high CSI standards and a customer-first culture
