About The Position

The Pre-Owned Automotive Sales Consultant is responsible for assisting customers in selecting and purchasing pre-owned vehicles while providing an exceptional customer experience. This role involves building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and guiding them through the sales process to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Listen to customer needs and recommend suitable pre-owned vehicles.
  • Conduct test drives to demonstrate vehicle features and performance.
  • Present financing and leasing options while maintaining transparency.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms in accordance with dealership policies.
  • Stay up to date on the dealership’s pre-owned inventory, including vehicle features, pricing, and availability.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information about each vehicle's history, condition, and warranties.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, well-presented, and ready for customer viewing.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with potential and existing customers to foster long-term relationships.
  • Follow up on leads and inquiries via phone, email, or text.
  • Encourage repeat and referral business through exceptional service.
  • Complete all sales-related paperwork and ensure accuracy in contracts and agreements.
  • Work closely with the finance and service departments to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Adhere to all dealership policies, state regulations, and ethical sales practices.
