Pre-Owned Automotive Sales Consultant
About The Position
Paragon Honda is a well-established dealership known for quality, reliability, and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking experienced sales professionals to join our team as Pre-Owned Automotive Sales Consultants. If you are passionate about cars and dedicated to building strong customer relationships, this role is for you. As a Sales Consultant specializing in pre-owned vehicles, you will manage sales activities from initial customer contact through vehicle delivery. You will generate and manage leads, provide detailed product knowledge, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the purchase process.
Requirements
- At least one year of related sales experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong sales skills with excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Organized with effective follow-up to maintain customer relationships before and after sale.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to speak a second language is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage customers to assess their vehicle needs including make, model, and features.
- Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation both in the showroom and during test drives.
- Research vehicle availability and optional equipment using dealership databases.
- Collaborate with Sales and Finance & Insurance Managers to negotiate sales terms including price, trade-ins, taxes, and financing.
- Inspect lot inventory regularly to maintain product knowledge and availability.
- Complete necessary paperwork and ensure timely vehicle delivery and registration.
- Conduct vehicle walkthroughs to familiarize customers with their new purchase.
- Attend training sessions and department meetings to stay current on products and sales techniques.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
