About The Position

Memorial Surgery Center is looking for a top-performer with solid knowledge of PACU Nursing. This is a fast-paced environment that is driven to reach the highest quality and satisfaction. PreOp PostOp RN PRNs are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. PreOp PostOp RN PRNs are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op.

Requirements

  • Current Oklahoma Nursing License
  • Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, physicians, vendors, and the public
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptiveness to change, creativity, and innovation
  • Strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
  • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
  • Excellent teaching skills
  • Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an ASC is a plus
  • Must be team-oriented and patient-focused
