About The Position

Eye Surgery Center of Nashville is a single-specialty ophthalmology surgery center dedicated to providing exceptional care and a positive experience for both our patients and their families. We operate Monday through Thursday, with occasional half-day Fridays, ensuring a balanced schedule for our team. The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
  • Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
