The Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant for the Pre-Litigation team is dedicated to the direction of the team members and the caseload for a single pod. The Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant supports the mission and goals of Disparti Law Group by directing the activities of the pod team and activities to ensure exceptional service to clients, vendors and to internal customers. The Pe-Litigation Legal Assistant is responsible for the direction of pod member activities, delegation of work, case review and reporting to ensure the timely and accurate processing of case tasks to maximize case value and to meet time-on-desk deadlines.

  • Direct the activities of pod team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of caseload to meet or exceed time-on-desk deadlines.
  • Manage, review and approve timecards and leave requests for assigned pod members, ensuring adequate team member coverage.
  • Schedule and conduct i90 meetings according to established cadence. Update scorecard metrics prior to meetings for review and discussion.
  • In conjunction with pod attorney, provide input for performance assessments according to Firm’s schedule, including regular team member check-ins, quarterly conversations and annual performance assessments.
  • Attend other assigned i90 meetings as scheduled.
  • In conjunction with pod attorney, provide input for disciplinary action documentation and attend discussions with assigned pod team members.
  • Prepare five-month case review information with status updates for attorney review. Prepare other reporting as assigned.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to team members, clients and vendors via email, telephone, in person or by other means.
  • Prepare legal documents for submission to clients, insurance companies and lienholders.
  • Review case files to ensure all tasks are up to date; flag attorneys/Administrative Supervisor of discrepancies, as needed.
  • Review closing statements to ensure all costs are recognized prior to disbursements.
  • Prepare and distribute the schedule of client pick-up of disbursement checks.
  • Provide support to attorneys, administrative supervisor and other office team members.

  • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Supervisory experience a plus
  • Legal case management database experience a plus
