About The Position

Clarvida is hiring a Pre-Licensed Therapist to join the Kickstart program in San Diego, CA. This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay, comprehensive training, and access to licensure supervision. As a Pre-Licensed Therapist, you will work with youth ages 10–25 (Medi-Cal eligible or uninsured), their families, and social networks to provide individual and group counseling that promotes education, early intervention, and recovery. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners within Clarvida’s person-centered, trauma-informed care model.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field from an accredited institution
• Active registration as AMFT, APCC, or ASW in California
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with mental health patients in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
• Direct clinical and case management experience with knowledge of rehabilitation philosophy
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Valid California driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

• Experience or training in early psychosis intervention or youth mental health programs
• Familiarity with Medi-Cal and working with uninsured or underinsured populations
• Experience providing therapy in school-based or community outreach settings

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy for children, youth, and young adults
• Participate in crisis intervention and consultation when needed
• Assist clients with educational, vocational, social, and personal goal planning
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and program development
• Conduct therapeutic interviews, document client progress, and maintain clinical records
• Present and facilitate educational classes such as parenting and anger management
• Provide services in schools and community outreach settings
• Transport clients and conduct outreach in community and school environments
• Meet productivity requirements including caseload and service delivery expectations
• Perform on-call and after-hours duties as assigned
