About The Position
Third Future Schools is a high-achieving and growing network of charter schools. The network's school in Waco, Texas, South Waco Elementary is looking for a Pre-Kindergarted Teacher Assistant. Teacher Assistants work with distinguished teachers to grow their craft and become classroom teachers. Teacher Assistants teach students in collaboration with the distinguished teachers. They do not plan lessons or assignments, but will familiarize themselves with the lessons and the instructional materials in order to teach effectively. Once the school leadership team and the distinguished teacher believes the Assistants is ready to provide direct instruction without any support, they will be elevated to the teacher position and receive the commensurate salary increase. Classroom teachers and assistants receive great support. Lesson plans, demonstrations of learning, and student assignments and activities are provided to the teachers by expert curriculum developers. Teacher assistants makes copies and grade papers for the teachers. Teachers and Assistants also have minimal duties and only four days a month. The maximum salary for a Teacher Assistants with three years of demonstrated achievement is $ 43,000 .
