Job Summary Pre‑K Reggio Lead TeacherHoly Cross Academy – Primary Campus Holy Cross Academy is seeking a dedicated Pre‑K Reggio Emilia Lead Teacher to oversee and guide the school’s Reggio‑inspired early childhood program. This full‑time position reports to the Principal of the Primary Campus and carries responsibility for both instructional leadership and classroom management in accordance with the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Position SummaryThe Pre‑K Reggio Lead Teacher is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining a developmentally appropriate, child‑centered learning environment rooted in Reggio Emilia principles. This includes creating meaningful learning experiences, documenting student growth, and maintaining a classroom culture that promotes curiosity, independence, and collaboration. Requirements

  • Formal training and substantial experience in the Reggio Emilia philosophy
  • Demonstrated success in implementing Reggio‑inspired practices in an early childhood setting
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to foster a warm, nurturing, and student‑centered learning environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead all instructional planning and daily teaching within the Reggio Emilia Pre‑K program
  • Develop an engaging environment that supports inquiry‑based and project‑based learning
  • Observe, document, and assess student growth through Reggio‑aligned methods
  • Collaborate with school leadership to ensure program quality and alignment with HCA standards
  • Build strong relationships with families through communication and partnership
  • Manage classroom logistics, materials, and learning spaces
  • When enrollment supports a classroom aide, participate in the hiring, training, and supervision of that staff member
