About The Position

The paraprofessional position requires candidates to meet specific educational and licensing criteria. Applicants must have either completed a two-year college degree, earned 100 quarter or 60 semester hours of college credit, or passed the Georgia Paraprofessional Assessment. This assessment can be taken at the Board of Education office, and interested candidates are encouraged to call for more details.

Requirements

• Hold or qualify for a GA Paraprofessional Rank I or Rank II License
• Possess good verbal and communication skills
• Possess integrity and high standard of ethics and confidentiality
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse population
• Possess ability to assume responsibility for implementing teacher directed behavioral programs
• Model professionalism in temperament, attitude, appearance and ethics
