About The Position

As a Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of young learners. Your vibrant energy and passion for early childhood education will create a nurturing environment where children can thrive. You will lead the development and implementation of engaging curricula that fosters literacy, math, and social skills while ensuring each child's unique needs are met. Your expertise in classroom management and behavior management will help cultivate a positive learning atmosphere that encourages exploration and growth. What you'll do Design and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the Archdiocese of Louisville Early Education standards. Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports the developmental needs of each child. Utilize effective behavior management techniques to guide children's social interactions and emotional development. Provide opportunities for students to wok in small and large groups. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate progress. Assess students through play, engagement and observation. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Promote physical education through active play, ensuring children develop motor skills while having fun. Collaborate with K-8 teachers to ensure consistency in educational strategies. Adhere to the Division of Regulated Child Care (DRCC) state regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Alternate education and experience considered.
  • Proven experience working with children in a preschool setting, demonstrating strong classroom experience.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues alike.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and literacy education techniques.
  • Enhance math readiness with engaging math and number sense activities that incorporate real-world experiences.
  • Experience in lesson planning, and curriculum extension for young learners.
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics while promoting positive behavior among students.
  • A commitment to fostering an enriching educational experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with a variety of innovative teaching approaches is a plus.
