About The Position

Play & Learn is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our Pre-K Counts classroom in Fort Washington, PA. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a supportive team while making a meaningful impact in the lives of young children and their families. Play & Learn is proud to be one of the few early childhood organizations in Montgomery County to offer the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Pre-K Counts program, a free, high-quality early learning experience for qualifying families. Our program uses a curriculum aligned with state and local standards to prepare children for success in kindergarten and beyond. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education (with ECE focus), or a related field
PA Instructional I Certification in Early Childhood Education
Previous experience working with young children
A positive, reliable team player with a genuine passion for early childhood education

Meet the individual needs of each child while providing the highest quality care
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with our curriculum
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
Foster creativity through art, music, and play-based learning
Promote a multicultural and welcoming learning environment
Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members
Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development
