The Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic schools serve more than 40,000 students in 150+ elementary and high schools in Cook and Lake counties, making it one of the largest private school systems in the United States. Its schools have received 96 Blue Ribbon awards from the U.S. Department of Education over the past 10 years. This specific position is for the 2026 - 2027 school year. The Teacher is a qualified professional educator who meets the requirements to teach in a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Chicago. In this role, the Teacher acts as a representative of the Catholic Church to the students, serving as a role model and communicating the Church’s message. The Teacher is considered a ministerial employee due to this representative and communicative role. The Teacher is hired by and directly accountable to the principal, agreeing to abide by the educational policies and procedures of the Archdiocese of Chicago, the Office of Catholic Schools, and the local school. The Teacher cooperates with the principal and staff to foster an educational environment that promotes Catholic education and represents the Archbishop of Chicago's ministry and the religious teachings of the Catholic Church at the local school level. Saints Faith, Hope & Charity School (FHC) is dedicated to helping students achieve academic success and develop character through faith and service. FHC was named a 2023 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education, its second such recognition. Founded in 1939 by the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa, FHC is a parochial, Catholic grade school in Winnetka, Illinois, educating children from 3-year-old Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade.
