Expected salary range of $28.02 to $34.25, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k). Primary Purpose of Position The Pre-Journeyman - Plumbing Service technician performs a wide range of plumbing services for residential customers and promotes the sale of all other services offered by our Company to customers.

Requirements

  • Apprentice License holder for 4 years
  • Completed 7,500 hours of training under control and direction of a licensed master plumber
  • Advanced knowledge of the tools and materials related to the plumbing service field
  • Must possess advanced ability to read, interpret, and apply information from blueprints, specifications, and schematics
  • Advanced ability in the usage of sewer cleaning machines
  • Advanced skills in customer relations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Advanced skills in sales with the ability to recommend and promote all services offered by the company
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime
  • Eligibility to meet Company driving standards, including possession of a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Installs and modifies existing plumbing equipment according to installation instructions, supervisor instructions and all applicable county or city codes.
  • Performs minimal service on steam boilers with supervision.
  • Performs a wide range of plumbing services to include repair or replacement of faucets, toilets, domestic water lines and drain lines.
  • Modifies and fabricates pipe fittings as needed per installation.
  • Identifies electrical, plumbing and safety problems that apply to the installation and takes necessary corrective action.
  • Performs clerical duties necessary to complete requests for service.
