The Pre-Hospital Care Coordinator is designated to coordinate all pre-hospital care activities within assigned base station area in compliance with the Paramedic Base Hospital Agreement and in accordance with policies, procedures, and protocols established by the Department of Health Services County of Los Angeles, EMS Agency. Under administrative direction, plans, organizes, directs, reviews, and evaluates day-to-day operations, programs, personnel, and activities. Develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures, ensures compliance with federal and state rules and regulations, provides counseling and direct services to consumers and administrative support to manager, coordinators, and shift supervisors. Provides professional and technical training, assistance and support to dispatch staff and other EMS staff; performs related work as assigned. Promotes and provides quality service.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current MICN Certification
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an MICN
  • 2 years’ experience in emergency department or other emergency services experience

Nice To Haves

  • TNCC and ENPC Certification preferred.

Responsibilities
