About The Position

Pre-Glue employees will be working on a manufacturing style line completing a variety of tasks at different points in the process. Many of these tasks consists of understanding paperwork associated with daily production schedules. This is a fast-pace, team-oriented environment where we strive to meet production demands while supporting each other whenever able. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with wood products manufacturing equipment and environments.
Strong work ethic, ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Communicate with co-workers and supervisor.
Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problems solving skills.
Dedicated, self-motivated team member, willing and able to work independently or as a team.
Ability to stand, kneel, bend for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

Grade each piece of lumber coming down chain by visually inspecting all four sides, and making sure it is the proper grade for lay-up.
Ability to hand apply glue on the Finger Joints with a handheld Finger Joint applicator.
Ability to operate a small panel box, for out feed finger joint, rolls, chain, in rolls to make up, and make up section.
Alert at all times.
Know and utilize all Lock-out/Tag-out procedures associated with your duties.
Report any potential machinery defects immediately.
Report any potential safety risks immediately.
Keep work area clean and orderly.
Down time is clean up and minor maintenance time.
