About The Position

Pre-Glue employees will be working on a manufacturing style line completing a variety of tasks at different points in the process. Many of these tasks consists of understanding paperwork associated with daily production schedules. This is a fast-pace, team-oriented environment where we strive to meet production demands while supporting each other whenever able. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with wood products manufacturing equipment and environments.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Communicate with co-workers and supervisor.
  • Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problems solving skills.
  • Dedicated, self-motivated team member, willing and able to work independently or as a team.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Grade each piece of lumber coming down chain by visually inspecting all four sides, and making sure it is the proper grade for lay-up.
  • Ability to hand apply glue on the Finger Joints with a handheld Finger Joint applicator.
  • Ability to operate a small panel box, for out feed finger joint, rolls, chain, in rolls to make up, and make up section.
  • Alert at all times.
  • Know and utilize all Lock-out/Tag-out procedures associated with your duties.
  • Report any potential machinery defects immediately.
  • Report any potential safety risks immediately.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Down time is clean up and minor maintenance time.
