Pre-ETS Work Readiness Training – Session E: 8/17-8/21 (unpaid)
About The Position
Skills Inc . is a non-profit aerospace supplier with a mission to provide training and employment for people with disabilities. Partnered with the WA Dept of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), we provide Group Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) for eligible students across the state . Workplace Readiness Training at Skills Inc. is a great way for students to learn about exciting job opportunities in the field of aerospace, explore their interests and abilities, and develop essential skills with expert guidance from industry professionals. This is an unpaid training program for eligible students. TRAINING TOPICS NIOSH Workplace Safety certification Job shadowing in production departments Project-based learning and assembly training Hands-on task training w/ basic tools Soft skills development
Requirements
- WA State student age 14-22
- Active IEP or 504 Plan
- Enrolled in high school or college for Fall 2026
- Current or eligible Pre-ETS participant
- Pre-ETS Approval is required prior to scheduling. Send completed form to Ashley Schweiger at [email protected]
- Send a request to your assigned Pre-ETS Regional Transition Counselor to join a specific training session. Your RTC will confirm scheduling with Kevin Wehman, Programs Manager at Skills Inc.
