SUMMARY: Repairs coach and appliances related problems in RV’s within dealership and manufacturer quality and time standards.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs repairs as outlined on Due Bills or WAFs with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Inspects vehicle for safety and/or service work necessary for delivery.
  • Examines vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Advises Delivery Manager or Delivery Coordinator immediately if additional work is needed, or if repairs cannot be made.
  • Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Saves and tags parts if the job is under warranty.
  • Road tests vehicle when required or refers to test technician.
  • Installs accessories as required.
  • Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Assists all Departments supporting new sale deliveries (Detail, Orientation, Sales)
  • Must adhere to all LMRV and state speed limitations and safety regulations
  • Must maintain a safe driving record throughout employment period
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Keeps shop area and customer units neat and clean.
  • Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal; OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
  • When working 5 hours or more, employee must clock out for a ½ hour lunch break.
  • No off-the-clock work.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Delivery Manager or Delivery Coordinator or Sales Manager on duty
