Requirements

• Candidate must have a degree from an accredited college in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Ability to understand, review and approve design work.
• Experience coordinating with designers handling any critical issues pertinent to the project or the client/facility.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects.
• A minimum of four (4) years' experience in a role of Assistant Project Manager responsible for large-scale projects valued above $10 million, with an extensive knowledge of all facets of construction and construction documents.
• Full knowledge of the change order and cost review process and the review/approval of contractor's payment application.

Responsibilities

• Manage outside consultants to achieve design deliverable milestones.
• Read, review, interpret and comprehend designs provided by project design team.
• Responsible for the construction and rehabilitation project designs for various clients.
• Work on projects that are budget and deadline driven and require extensive knowledge of building and fire codes, architectural standards.
• Supervise and review specifications and drawings as submitted by Architects and design personnel.
• Review technical work of consultants.
• Review construction estimates.
• Work with engineering consultants, and coordinate documents with MEP, Civil and Structural drawings.
• Confer with client agencies and contractors.
• Supervise consultant work.
• Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project.
• Coordinate and supervise complex architectural projects for new and rehabilitation of building plans and designs.
• Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary.
