About The Position

Messer Construction Co. is seeking a construction professional to assist in managing the pre-construction and bidding process for complex commercial building projects. This role involves collaboration with Operations Executives and requires strong communication and organizational skills to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field
• 5+ years of construction project management or estimating experience
• Experience in pre-construction and the bidding process preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with deliverables, including site logistics graphics
• Plan and manage project signage
• Update project schedules
• Assist Cost Planning and Estimating with Value Engineering follow-up
• Manage building permits
• Coordinate job setup
• Schedule and facilitate Messer department kick-off meetings
• Track scope creep during the design development
• Manage the bidding process
• Follow up on insurance, contracts, and bonds for CCIP/OCIP projects
• Enroll subcontractors into an insurance program
• Set up projects on iSqFt
• Send invitations and follow-up calls to subcontractors
• Manage documents including drawings, specs, and addendums
• Address pre-bid questions
• Conduct post-bid scope review meetings
• Document meeting minutes
• Enter subcontractor information into Viewpoint
• Provide feedback to unsuccessful bidders
