About The Position

Missouri Baptist Hospital is seeking a Pre Certification to join our team! This role will be handling pre certificaitons and scheduling for a cardiology office. Ideal candidates will have some exposure to pre certification or prior authorization. Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children's Hospital. Missouri Baptist is the first and only hospital in St. Louis County to be named a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The CTV Surgery team provides daily patient management for CT Surgery inpatients and outpatients in collaboration with CT Surgeons to ensure timely and appropriate discharge planning and patient teaching. Role Purpose Responsible for coordinating and posting procedures to the operating room schedule including registration of patients, precertification, and clinical/billing data entry.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient procedures, surgeries, and any additional equipment or resources.
• Manages the patient procedures from the schedule notification point until the period right before the procedure.
• Coordinates with case management and physician offices insurance requirements for the surgical procedures.
• Completes audits of scheduled procedures and surgeries to ensure accuracy.
• Provides training, answers questions, back-up support to other surgery schedulers.
