About The Position
This position serves as the Department Product Owner and System Administrator for Preboarding Technology and Solutions. This position will manage the department wide footprint for technology that supports a successful employee preboarding experience and prioritizes this work effort. Specifically, this position will be responsible for the Department's Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliant Background Tracking System, technology that supports the creation and tracking of employee badges, and technology that supports the tracking of preboarding/onboarding activities and bidirectional communications to successfully preboard/onboard new hire, re-hire, and transfer employees. At the writing of this position posting, the technology for each of these functional areas sits in various states. For example, the Background Tracking System modernization project is in the post-go-live phase. Other functional areas are being supported by legacy technology, which are experiencing increasing performance and stability issues, thus requiring focused modernization initiatives. This position is the Department Staff Authority for the Department's Preboarding Technology and Solutions.
