About The Position

The Pre-Award Team Lead at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is responsible for supervising and managing the Pre-Award unit within the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC). This role involves overseeing the submission of research proposals, mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines. The position is integral to the LCCC Research Development Group and requires direct interaction with Principal Investigators (PIs) to meet their pre-award needs and implement improvements in service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of award management experience.
• Mid- to late-career with a Master's degree and 2-4 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the Pre-Award unit at LCCC.

• Distribute workloads equitably across team members.
• Maintain a small portfolio of PIs to submit grants.
