Requirements

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: Previous perioperative nursing experience preferred.
• REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
• Certified in BLS through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS/ENPC required within 6 months of hire.

• A critical thinker and the ability to effectively communicate with patients over the phone.

Responsibilities

• The Pre-Assessment Testing Registered Nurse (PAT RN) is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients on an assigned unit.
• The PAT RN provides direction to licensed vocationsl nurses and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care, and supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital.
