Requirements

• Electrical and/or mechanical experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Must possess a valid, up-to-date, driver's license.
• Basic understanding of electrical transmission and distribution systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical theory.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift, climb and carry tools for extended periods of time.
• Required to be available to work overtime, occasional night shifts and in inclement weather.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work harmoniously with fellow workers.
• Basic math, computer skills, required.
• Ability to work in a manner that prevents injury.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Able to demonstrate mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Substation Electrician Journeyman as assigned.
• Perform work alone within the conformance of training and safe work practices.
• Able to take directions and have a willingness to learn.
• Will move into the formal apprenticeship if recommended.
• Perform duties of progressively increasing importance and complexity.
• Perform assigned work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Company practices and procedures.
