Job Summary: The Specimen Management Associate supports the receipt, handling, storage, and shipment of clinical specimens while ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education required
Experience handling clinical specimens, laboratory samples, or regulated materials in a controlled environment
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines
Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing or incorrect documentation
Effective communication skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

Assist with the receipt of consignments and shipments of clinical specimens
Open shipments and perform quality checks of patient information forms, escalating issues as needed
Ensure specimens are removed from kit packaging by completing secondary checks of shipping materials
Prepare specimens for long-term storage, client shipment, or sample disposition
Dispose of or recycle kit shipping supplies according to procedures
Support after-hour alarms and other job-critical functions as required
Assist with equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and workstation organization

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $24,400.00 - $50,900.00.
The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
