About The Position

At Resurgens Surgical Center we focus on offering a high quality, service oriented environment for your surgical procedure.Our state-of the art equipment allows surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty areas of: General Orthopedic, Outpatient Joint Replacement, Spine, Outpatient Spine Program, Joint Replacement, Sports Medicine, Pain Management, Foot and Ankle, and Hand and Upper Extremity. Pre Admissions Testing RN (PAT RN) The Preadmission Nurse (PAT RN) has the responsibility for organizing and directing activities in accordance with nursing standards, JC, Medicare and all other applicable federal, state and local guidelines. PAT RN may assume the following PAT responsibilities: contact, by way of telephone, all patients prior to surgery to assess medical and medication history, review for appropriate lab, x-ray, EKG orders to determine where and when these procedures are to completed and provide preadmission teaching. The RN can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients 15 years or older. The RN may perform laboratory testing required prior to surgery as ordered.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • One year experience required intra-operative setting.
  • Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
