About The Position

The Supportive Care Practice Supervisor provides coordination for the practice functions of the supportive care service line using operational and clinical expertise. The position enhances workflows and efficiencies to maximize patient care. The practice supervisor coordinates day-to-day operations and acts as a liaison between providers, clinicians, and administrative staff. The practice supervisor provides support for the ongoing development and management of the operational infrastructure of ambulatory and community based supportive and palliative care services. Additionally, the practice supervisor plays an active role in patient navigation and regularly consults with clinical staff on patient issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum Required Education: Associate of Arts or Science Degree is required.
  • Experience: 2 years relevant experience and prior supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and supports practice operations with a view towards enhancing patient care, patient satisfaction, quality & safety, staff development & effectiveness, workflow efficiency, and programmatic growth.
  • Supervises clinical support staff as assigned and is a general resource for the physicians, advanced practitioners, and other members of the clinical care team as well as colleagues throughout the Supportive Care Service Line and the broader CRH organization.
  • Continually assesses, develops, and supports ongoing initiatives, including general operations management, patient access, customer service, process improvement, and financial stewardship.
  • Monitor patient service and satisfaction and evaluate patient experience survey results, complete follow up actions, and implement improvements.
  • Analyze patient flow, clinician schedules, resource schedules, volume and access data and identify and implement process improvement opportunities to maximize service volume, improve patient access, efficiency, and clinician workloads.
  • Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate staffing to support service line operations.
  • Oversee recruitment, orientation, training, development and coaching of staff.
  • Provide cross-coverage to manage staffing and/or operational issues for other members of the service line team, as necessary.
