About The Position

Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Practice Supervisor Location: East Layton and Syracuse Hours: Monday through Friday Full Time Job Description: A Practice Supervisor provides effective leadership and accountability for clinical staff and PSRs in the respective departments. This includes high-quality patient care and excellent customer service, human resources, health information systems, and quality assurance. Scope: A Practice Supervisor is responsible for supporting staff with the associated providers using a patient-centered focus to achieve the organizational mission statement. This goal includes engagement with providers, employees, and patients in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Requirements

Healthcare leadership or management experience
Proficiency in computer-based skills
Effective communication and interpersonal relations skills
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
Five years’ experience as a Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision of Clinical Services staff
Job interviews and employee selection
Onboarding and orientation for new staff
Regular staff and provider rounding
Manages staffing levels and coverage
Communicates clinic announcements to encourage provider and staff engagement, including recognition platforms
Payroll accuracy and approval
Implements quarterly department meetings
Serve as a key problem solver/liaison for patient, employee, and physician concerns related to Clinical Services staff
Demonstrates staff accountability through regular coaching, counseling, and staff performance reviews
Promotes and engages in a patient-centered culture
Demonstrates effective and professional communication (written, verbal, and electronic)
Encourages positive provider relations
Inspires and motivates others through effective interpersonal skills
Promotes positive patient relations
Empowers staff and providers to commit to a patient-centered focus
Optimizes efficient patient flow
Participates in patient feedback modalities to ensure high-quality care
Understands clinic policies and procedures
Promotes safety and security by conducting regular inspections
Understands and utilizes electronic medical record (EMR) and telephone system
Ensures compliance and appropriate utilization of IT resources
Participates in audits to ensure compliance and minimize organizational risk
Understands and abides by privacy laws (HIPAA) and Tanner Clinic policies to safeguard protected health information (PHI)
Other duties as assigned
