About The Position

As a leader at Carilion Clinic, you will communicate, organize, prioritize, lead, facilitate, coach, and problem-solve with management and patient care teams to ensure cost-effective, age-appropriate, quality patient care services that enhance customer satisfaction. You will promote Carilion Clinic's Culture of Excellence and quality service through teamwork, respectful communication, and anticipation of patient/customer needs. Your role will include direct supervision of clinical and office staff, mentoring, and involvement in hiring and performance appraisals. You will lead conflict resolution processes, identify and resolve customer service issues, and provide staffing coverage as needed. Additionally, you will assist in preparing work schedules, monitor customer satisfaction, implement department budgets, and create a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Registered Nurse program required.
  • Two (2) years of clinical experience required with demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • AHA BLS-HCP required.
  • May be required to obtain AHA-ACLS & PALS based on specific work unit within 6 months of hire.
  • Demonstrates excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, team leadership, priority setting and work competency skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates regularly with staff and Manager/Director.
  • Assists with and prepares work schedules for department or work group.
  • Monitors and evaluates customer satisfaction with services.
  • Implements and monitors department budget.
  • Creates a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
  • Maintains productive, collaborative relationships with physicians and other care delivery sites.
