About The Position

Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Practice Manager for our Adventist Medical Group offices in Fort Washington, MD who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Practice Manager you will: Provide day-to-day operational supervision of a team of administrative, technical, and/or clinical (non-provider) employees. Includes working in collaboration with Administrator to interview, hire, terminate, discipline, manage performance, etc of non-provider team members. Manage the daily operation of the multi-specialty practice organization, and policies and procedures, including implementation of billing issues, access policies, schedule templates, quality programs and patient care experience processes. Provides guidance and support to team members. Coordinate operational needs/requirements of office to include but not limited to maintain machines and equipment; to procure office and medical supplies, equipment, phone service, IT support, etc Supervise all staff, including recruitment, evaluations, delegation of staffing hours, coverage plans, training and education of staff, oversight of staff in compliance with all government and regulatory agencies Facilities management, including oversight of proper maintenance of offices, equipment, service contracts, and preparation of ROI documentation for new capital equipment Supply chain management, ensuring adequate supplies, maintenance of records, pricing studies, and an efficient procurement strategy Performs research to collect, analyze and present substantive information for incorporation in administrative and /or technical documents, articles, agenda and correspondence. Develops, evaluates, recommends and implements methods to improve the processing of the work of the office and utilization of personnel and equipment. Provides general supervision to professional and support staff in the clinical and administrative areas. Other duties as assigned and/or needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people at various levels within and outside the Organization.
  • Must be able to do math calculations and input data into the computer.
