Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field required (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Two - three years of experience in a medical office environment.
  • One - two years of management experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical office operations including billing systems.
  • Ability to interpret and supervise business policies.
  • Special ability to communicate and relate well with staff, physician(s) and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Provides practice leadership, supervision, scheduling and daily management of the practice.
  • Supports 2-6 providers and ensures a smooth and efficient operation of the practice.
  • Hires and trains staff, works with physicians daily, monitors and controls costs.
  • Assures accurate and timely charge capture and edit/error work queue resolution.
  • Oversees staff productivity and assists in achieving goals and objectives in support of KPN Operations Administration service line.
  • Collaborates with physician and staff to ensure positive patient experiences.
  • Manages front desk procedures, bookkeeping, patient billing, office/clinical supplies, petty cash operation, budget, collections, and insurance.
  • Completes/oversees coding and approval of invoices, reconciles credit card terminal, and sends daily report to Finance.
  • Oversees cash collections and makes daily deposits per defined targets.
  • Develops preferred capture strategies with assistance of Operations Director.
  • Manages staff-to-physician ratio, adjusts staff schedules, and fills in as needed.
  • Processes staff time and attendance bi-weekly, monitoring and maintaining accurate PTO records.
  • Conducts coaching, development, corrective action, staff evaluations, and provides reward and recognition.
  • Maintains confidentiality with patient records in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Ensures the practice remains compliant with all regulatory agencies.
  • Ensures staff captures updated patient demographic and insurance information at every patient encounter.
