About The Position

The Practice Manager understands the relationship between patient access to care, clinic flow, finance, and productivity and coordinates these components within the department to deliver world class care. This role involves developing and meeting capital and operating budget targets, seeking out operational efficiencies, and engaging employees and physicians in workforce redesign to better serve patients and create a productive workplace. The Practice Manager teaches and engages employees in financial improvement and performance, contributes to departmental goals, and supports program and service development in response to stakeholders. Additionally, the manager analyzes department-related data, recruits and leads a talented team, oversees human resource activities, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare required.
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience required.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and meets capital and operating budget targets.
  • Seeks out operational efficiencies and involves employees and physicians in workforce redesign.
  • Teaches and engages employees in department financial improvement and performance.
  • Contributes to and supports short and long-range goals for departments/division.
  • Analyzes department-related data and develops appropriate action plans to resolve variances from goals.
  • Recruits, develops, retains and leads a talented team of leadership and staff.
  • Oversees all human resource activities including recruitment, retention, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Develops, revises and implements administrative policies, procedures, guidelines and job descriptions.
  • Acts as a mentor and promotes professional growth of employees.
  • Ensures that employees are oriented to the department and hospital.
  • Oversees the planning and implementation of educational programs for the department.
  • Builds consensus with the Medical Staff and collaborates on strategy and program initiatives.
  • Practices process improvement principles and oversees improvement of quality of services and patient care.
  • Maintains competency in all organizational and department standards relevant to services provided.
  • Manages processes to ensure all regulatory standards are met.
