Keep reading… A day in the life of a Practice Manager-Ortho, Pain, and Spine: Manages, coordinates and directs the overall operational activities of assigned department(s) Ortho, Paint, and Spine at our West Des Moines location. Works closely with the physicians and administrative directors in assuming accountability for maintaining high-quality cost-effective services. Hires, orients, supervises, evaluates performance, disciplines and terminates staff. Mains awareness of applicable laws and/or regulations affecting the clinic and assures compliance. Participates in strategic and long-range planning. Promotes a positive, professional image of the organization internally and externally. Assumes accountability for enhancing own knowledge through professional associations, journals, workshops, in-services, etc. to pro-actively keep updated on potential issues affecting the clinic. Maintains awareness of applicable laws and/or regulations and remains current on changes. Recognizes implications of applicable laws and/or regulations to the clinic and implements or recommends courses of action to ensure compliance.
