About The Position

The Physician Practice Manager is responsible for the operation and management of physician practices owned and/or managed by Stephens County Hospital.

Requirements

High School Diploma required.
Minimum three to five years in a medical office setting
Minimum of one to three years in a supervisory or management position.
Ability to compile, code and categorize, or verify information/data
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situation
Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, and maintain a positive attitude
Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information
Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner
Ability to communicate effectively, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Adhere to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
Complete annual education requirements.
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Report to work on time and as scheduled.
Wear identification while on duty.
Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations.
Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Have near normal hearing - able to hear alarms/telephone/normal speaking voice/webinars

Responsibilities

Goals and objectives are consistent with hospital mission and interdepartmental objectives.

Supervises patient scheduling.
Oversees registration of patients.
Oversees financial counseling.
Assures accurate data entry and processing including posting of charges.
Oversees cash posting/bank deposits.
Manages insurance contracts and ensures compliance with contracts.
Promotes excellent customer service.
Provides educational materials to patients.
Communicates with patients regarding inquiries and/or complaints.
Ensures patient satisfaction.
Keeps track of equipment and manages inventory.
Oversees facility cleaning, hygiene, safety and maintenance.
Oversees removal of medical waste in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensures compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and ethics.
Formulates procedure for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of records.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
