About The Position

The Practice Manager is responsible for the primary oversight of the administrative functions of the Seneca Family Health Center, which includes approximately 60% of operations. This role requires maintaining effective verbal and written communications at multiple levels within internal and external customers. The Practice Manager will direct and guide staff, ensuring appropriate utilization of human and capital resources. The individual must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task, supervising staff and day-to-day practice operations while providing leadership with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Problem-solving skills must be well developed, as the Practice Manager will collaborate with providers to improve processes and resolve issues. Additionally, the role involves developing and coordinating efficient department procedures that support the operations of Occupational Health and Worker's Compensation activity.

Requirements

  • Minimum: BS. degree in business, healthcare, or related field.
  • Minimum: 3-5 years' experience in Physician Practice operations, 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with computerized patient scheduling.
  • Computer literacy required with word processing, spreadsheets, power point and EMRs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including prior positive physician relations.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: M.S. in business or healthcare administration.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Physician Office and Physician billing.
  • Preferred: Ability to create and manage an operating budget.
  • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office products including word, excel and power point.
  • Preferred: Medent systems experience and patient scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates efficient departmental procedures that support the operations of the practice.
  • Oversees day-to-day operations of practice.
  • Demonstrates focus on customer service and instills concept in all staff.
  • Optimizes efficiency of daily operations including scheduling, registration, charge/cash posting.
  • Leads by example and mentors staff.
