About The Position

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join the team at our Center of Hope Family Practice! The Practice Manager's primary responsibilities include strategic direction and maintenance of the daily operations, financial and budgetary oversight as well as general management of a physician practice with two or more of the following: 5 or more providers, multiple locations, multiple specialties and high complexity. Additional responsibilities include ensuring updates to policy and procedures are communicated and implemented in a timely fashion within the practice, monitoring patient flow, overseeing daily practice operations, and developing business strategies with physicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years' management experience preferably in a primary care or ambulatory care setting.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Knowledge of insurance billing rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of practice management and electronic health record applications.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Good customer service skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of people in and out of the hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure updates to policy and procedures are communicated and implemented in a timely fashion within the practice.
  • Ensure colleagues utilize Practice Management System (EPM) appropriately and completely to schedule patients.
  • Monitor patient flow through practice to ensure appropriate utilization of physician time and staff coverage.
  • Oversee daily practice operations, including appointment scheduling, billing procedures, and staff scheduling.
  • Build and monitor practice budget and ensure budget compliance and tracking of variances.
  • Work with physicians to develop business strategies and patient services.
  • Establish the monthly office hour schedule and ensure colleague and physician staffing are aligned.
  • Monitor practice's progress in meeting regional targets and metrics.
  • Ensure colleagues' interactions with patients reflect Standards of Behavior.
  • Monitor and review patient registration and data entry into the system for timeliness, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Evaluate each colleague’s performance and provide appropriate guidance and feedback.
  • Oversee daily/monthly expenditures, staffing, and overtime hours.
  • Ensure regulatory and Joint Commission compliance for the practice/practices.
  • Develop and oversee implementation and administration of internal practice policies and procedures.
  • Interpret applicable laws, rules, and regulations and ensure the practice is in compliance.
  • Work with the Central Billing Office and relevant hospital systems to obtain/develop internal reports for monitoring the billing process.
