About The Position

The Practice Manager provides administrative direction and coordination to the formulation, interpretation, and administration of current and long-range policies, procedures, and programs of a specialty practice. The incumbent also assumes responsibility for the overall operations, development, and success of the practice. In this important role, the incumbent acts as an information resource and ambassador to patients, physicians, staff, and the public.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required.
  • Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
  • Operational Management: Optimizes day-to-day operations and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Organizational Development: Ability to implement strategies to improve organizational effectiveness, engagement, and manage change.
  • Financial Oversight: Knowledge of financial operations and management.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to create and maintain a cohesive and productive team environment, build positive working relationships and work collaboratively with others.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning, administration, and day-to-day management of the Adolescent Medicine division’s clinical programs, ensuring clear program goals, effective operations, and high-quality service delivery.
  • With department leadership, plan and direct activities related to future growth, business development, and long-term strategic initiatives within Adolescent Medicine.
  • Provide leadership in developing business strategies and tactics that support the goals of the Adolescent Medicine division and the broader Health System market growth plans.
  • Oversee business plan development for capital projects, including projecting volumes, capital needs, and operating expenses; monitor implementation to ensure adherence to operational plans and budgets.
  • Analyze practice operations and needs to identify enhancements or improvements to operational procedures.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures that support efficient and compliant practice operations.
  • Implement systems to protect adolescent privacy, including confidential billing practices and workflows aligned with minor consent requirements.
  • Direct the development of policies and procedures for network-wide use in clinical operations across the division.
  • Analyze and review financial and productivity reports; identify issues and implement solutions to optimize financial performance.
  • Assist in budgeting for practices, including forecasting and operational planning.
  • Provide overall administrative direction and coordination for revenue cycle management policies, procedures, and programs in collaboration with central revenue cycle offices.
  • Support the implementation of processes that enhance the financial performance of the practices.
  • Manage performance processes for employees and physicians, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, evaluation, and ongoing performance management.
  • Collaborate with other Adolescent Medicine managers to strengthen performance management practices and ensure consistent, equitable application.
  • Support the professional development of the workforce, including conducting needs assessments and coordinating continuing education opportunities.
  • Monitor staff and physician satisfaction and lead initiatives to strengthen culture, teamwork, and workplace engagement.
