About The Position

The Practice Leader manages and provides operational leadership to assigned areas of the MarinHealth Medical Network Ambulatory Clinics ensuring they meet the MarinHealth enterprise-wide goals and initiatives of safety, affordability, quality, satisfaction, and access. Plans and organizes operations and resources to ensure effective and efficient delivery of patient care consistent with best practices. Proactively manages policy and procedure, guaranteeing compliance with the clinic, affiliates, vendors, the MarinHealth enterprise, and state and federal regulatory agencies where applicable. Takes a strategic and tactical approach in identifying best practices, standardizing workflows, and proposing plans of action to implement changes. Implements and manages capital and operational budgets to achieve financial targets through the effective use of personnel, resources, and supplies. Develops and maintains a solid partnership with internal and external peers, leaders, and/or regulatory agencies to facilitate and collaborate on initiatives or solve issues. Provides guidance and/or direct intervention in resolving challenging or complex situations with an empathetic and solution-based approach. Accountable for role modeling principles defined by the C.A.R.E.S Standards, clinic or enterprise-wide initiatives, and the MarinHealth Mission, 'To provide exceptional healthcare services in a compassionate and healing environment'.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare or related field or equivalent education/experience.
  • 3 - 5 years' supervisory and/or management experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal regulations related to ambulatory settings.
  • Proven leadership skills including team building and coaching.
  • Ability to form relationships with physicians and medical directors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge/experience with electronic medical records or practice management systems.
  • Use of EPIC/APeX software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products.
