About The Position

The Transportation Practice Leader leads the direction and growth of Transportation services region-wide. This role is the business sector leader who will drive strategy and success for all of OHM. The primary focus is on both traditional transportation infrastructure engineering and future mobility.

Requirements

  • Direct background or knowledge of roadway design, bridge engineering, and/or traffic engineering.
  • The ability to identify business prospects, and key client issues, and plan for growth and success.
  • The ability to coach and train all levels of project team members from staff engineers and technicians to project managers and technical experts.
  • Excellent communication skills, good organizational skills, proven ability to manage people, and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • A positive, charismatic attitude, with an eagerness to continue to grow our Transportation teams company wide.
  • An inclusive approach that identifies strengths, focuses on the development and helps all staff succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and executes strategies for growth and success in our various markets.
  • Works closely with key operational leaders to identify opportunities, key clients, and projects to pursue.
  • Develops and oversees our business development and marketing strategies for Transportation success.
  • Develops key relationships with teaming partners and other industry leaders.
  • Serves as the market leader and represents OHM at conferences and industry events.
  • Ensures our talent and approach meet client needs.
  • Develops the Discipline's overall Quality process and promotes its understanding and use company-wide.
  • Prepares the annual discipline budget as part of the yearly business plan process.
  • Works with the VP of Finance and other VPs and Directors to review and analyze costs, operations, and forecast data to maintain and improve discipline operations.
  • Compiles and summarizes operational revenue and sales projections and tracks on an ongoing basis.
  • Seeks, identifies, and onboards key discipline staff, focus is on recruiting, hiring, and growing staff.
  • Plans and implements personnel decisions.
  • Establishes and tracks group utilization goals.
  • Manages key staff within the Discipline.
