About The Position

AttainX Inc. is seeking an accomplished and visionary Practice Lead, Cybersecurity to lead the creation and growth of our Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE). This executive will define and drive AttainX’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring technical excellence, compliance rigor, and innovation across federal and commercial portfolios. As the senior cybersecurity authority, this role will champion modernization through the implementation of Zero Trust architectures, regulatory frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC), and advanced technology adoption (AI, automation, and cloud security). The Practice Lead will shape market opportunities, mentor technical teams, and represent AttainX as a thought leader in cybersecurity governance, resilience, and digital transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including 5+ years in leadership or practice management roles.
  • Deep expertise in NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC, and Zero Trust frameworks and experience leading enterprise compliance initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cybersecurity programs in federal government or highly regulated industries.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute cybersecurity strategy, business development initiatives, and innovation programs.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills with the ability to engage with C-suite, federal stakeholders, and technical teams.
  • Must have the following active professional certifications from this list CISSP, CISM, CISA, AWS required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active Secret security clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the AttainX Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE) to institutionalize best practices, accelerate innovation, and enhance delivery quality across the organization.
  • Serve as the senior cybersecurity executive and technical strategist, defining enterprise security architectures aligned with federal mandates, Zero Trust principles, and mission priorities.
  • Drive strategic planning and execution for cybersecurity service offerings, aligning with AttainX’s digital transformation and market expansion objectives.
  • Shape and capture new business opportunities by translating cybersecurity and compliance capabilities into client-centric solutions.
  • Lead proposal development, whitepapers, and executive briefings that highlight technical discriminators and strengthen AttainX’s market position.
  • Partner with capture and business development teams to define competitive differentiators and technical strategies for federal and commercial clients.
  • Direct and oversee high-profile cybersecurity and compliance programs, integrating frameworks such as NIST RMF, FedRAMP, CMMC, and DITSCAP/DIACAP.
  • Assist the Delivery team with Cybersecurity strategy and delivery efforts.
  • Lead enterprise Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) efforts, ensuring systems are prepared for certification and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement enterprise-level security strategies that unify risk management, privacy, and resilience across IT and operational domains.
  • Establish the CCoE as a hub for continuous improvement, focusing on framework development, reusable solution assets, and workforce training.
  • Spearhead pilots in emerging cybersecurity technologies such as AI-driven analytics, automation, cloud security, and identity modernization.
  • Act as a principal investigator and innovator, conducting R&D in forward-looking cybersecurity technologies that enhance AttainX’s capabilities and reputation.
  • Represent AttainX in executive, industry, and government cybersecurity forums, building strategic partnerships and promoting thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal business units, solution architects, and senior executives to align cybersecurity investments with business strategy and client mission objectives.
  • Mentor and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence in cybersecurity delivery.
