In this role, the Practice Coordinator is responsible for accurately identifying and accounting for each patient seen by hospitalist physicians. This includes obtaining, reconciling, and forwarding all necessary documents related to each inpatient medical record to the designated Billing Center. The Practice Coordinator will maintain accurate data to report the number of records sent and specific key measures from those records. Additionally, the individual will collaborate with the facility to gather critical metric data for dashboards, ensuring that productivity standards and target goals set by the Practice Coordinator Supervisor are met. The position requires a strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA compliance standards. The Practice Coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating the completion of all physician clinical documentation and proactively working with the medical director to ensure that all documentation is complete and properly signed. Regular communication with the designated Supervisor is essential, as is the ability to adapt to changes in processes or activities at the facility. Overall, the Practice Coordinator must maintain a professional appearance and performance at all times while supporting the administrative needs of the medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice.
