About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Environmental Planning leader to join our office in Monterey, California (CA)! As our environmental teams are growing, we are also seeking Environmental leaders in many of our offices throughout California.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience managing environmental projects in Northern California.
  • Client contacts and relationships with local municipalities, county, regional, and state agencies.
  • Business development and marketing experience, including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets.
  • Strong background and experience in CEQA/NEPA.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and managing staff positively.
  • Ability to cross-sell multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Create a vision for growth for an environmental planning practice in Monterey and surrounding communities.
  • Engage in business development and manage relationships with key clients.
  • Support and lead environmental planning projects.
  • Lead and mentor planning team members.
  • Operate with integrity and sound business principles.
  • Provide practice vision, business planning, and strategy.
  • Establish goals and build positive client relationships.
  • Maintain open communication with partners and team.
  • Grow and direct an environmental planning practice.
  • Enjoy autonomy to lead, direct, and grow the business.
