About The Position

Foley Mansfield’s Chicago office is seeking a service-oriented Practice Assistant to support the team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, a high level of initiative and follow-through, and the ability to work successfully in a variety of software programs. Responsibilities

  • Saving files to internal document management programs (currently iManage and Client Specific databases).
  • Managing master case list for all entities and updating as needed.
  • Ensuring all litigation dates and deadlines are accurately calendared for team members.
  • Drafting and processing subpoenas for records; following up via phone and email daily on subpoena request and updating internal chart re status of request. Billing time re same.
  • Purchasing, downloading, and saving records to document management programs.
  • Tracking assignments to team members and calendaring assignment due dates.
  • Regularly updating internal case management system (FMP) and client extranets.
  • Assisting with trial preparation as needed.
  • Filing documents in state and federal courts.
