About The Position

We are seeking an Oral Surgery Practice Administrator for Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Elmhurst, IL. The Practice Administrator oversees the practice's daily operations, staffing, and finances to ensure fundamental systems and protocols are in place and functioning effectively to reach practice goals. This individual is responsible for overseeing the staff's development, the company's financial health, community outreach, and marketing. Generally, the Practice Administrator will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the vision and systems as set together with the surgeons. Other duties include facilities management, strategic planning, and goal setting with the practice doctor owners, as well as ensuring the overall patient satisfaction and goodwill of the practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or applicable field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a medical or dental office setting.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience in a medical or dental office setting.
  • Knowledge of billing codes and understanding of insurance plans is a plus.
  • Ability to lead effectively and manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.

  • Familiarity with practice management and patient record software.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring, motivating, developing, and directing personnel.
  • Planning for staffing needs, recruiting and interviewing candidates.
  • Maintaining a professional work environment.
  • Onboarding new employees and conducting orientation sessions.
  • Analyzing training needs and developing training programs.
  • Monitoring patient flow and staff allocation.
  • Supervising front and back-office staff.
  • Resolving clinical-administrative problems.
  • Preparing, monitoring, and tracking operational reports.
  • Maintaining and analyzing financial reports.
  • Monitoring facilities to ensure safety and maintenance.
  • Overseeing billing and collection processes.
  • Developing and monitoring marketing campaigns.
  • Ensuring optimal patient care and satisfaction.
  • Representing the practice in a professional manner.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for community outreach efforts.
