Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech The Practice Acceleration & Deployment Leader will elevate and drive robust integration in execution across Innovation Excellence & LCM practices. This role will outline strategies, address roadblocks and engage in complex challenges, enabling Innovation Excellence pillars, and working across multiple product families. This role requires strong quality system expertise, paired with broad operational experience that enables partnering closely with R&D, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams to effectively deploy our practices and drive execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; master's degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in engineering, with a strong focus on quality systems, product development, lifecycle management, and sustaining engineering.
  • Proven experience in leadership roles, with a track record of managing high-performing teams and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, quality management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Technical background in engineering, with expertise in cardiovascular product platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead and deploy new procedures and practices to enable the Innovation Excellence team and LCM.
  • Support and implement innovation strategies that align with organizational goals and drive business growth.
  • Support and implement innovation strategies that streamline into Abiomed’s QMS, align with organizational goals, and drive business growth.
  • Foster a culture of driving innovation while building confidence in the scale of high-quality products.
  • Cultivate prioritization and focus across Lifecyle initiatives through strong cross-functional, platform and business need awareness.
  • This role requires successful collaboration in a matrix environment, with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders to execute product vision.
  • This role bridges design, development operational and supply chains to drive execution and ensure scale of high-quality products that meet patients' needs.
  • Contributes to planning and administration of programs and initiatives that deliver product enhancements, quality and/or operational scale needs.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational design, growing LCM to support the business, th at is well integrated and in concert with Product Platform and PMO frameworks.
  • Provide IE leadership and SME guidance in engagement with quality and regulatory teams and services.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance documentation and support validation/verification activities for product development.
  • Follow quality standards and operational procedures to ensure product safety and performance.
  • Manage targeted IE initiatives across existing products (with focus on CP, 5.5 and RP pump systems) providing direction and mentorship to drive high performance.
  • Support budget management and integration across Innovation Excellence initiatives.
  • Facilitate deployment of LCM Governance and accompanying procedural changes to drive robust adoption across functions.
  • Serve as an IE communication point with select WW regulatory response and follow-up.
  • Drive team performance through coaching, development, and performance management.
  • Proactively creates a purpose driven environment by aligning Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives with the strategies and goals of the team and enterprise.
  • Active engagement in the updates of our SOPs and creation of best practice playbooks.
