About The Position

The Department has many benefits and services available to support our military and veteran employees, spouses, and families. This employee performs a full range of practical nurse assignments. The work requires considerable knowledge of the proper methods and procedures for performing assignments, as well as considerable knowledge of basic nursing techniques and methods. He/she works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times. This position is located 100% within the secure perimeter of a Correctional Facility.

Requirements

• Possession of a certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
• No specific type or amount of experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of practical nurse assignments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Utilize proper methods and procedures for nursing assignments.
• Apply basic nursing techniques and methods.
